WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A
WORSHIP GATHERING

Expect to be invited to sing along with music, engage in moments of prayer, interact with an engaging message or teaching, meet a few people, grow in the knowledge of Jesus and experience God’s presence.

WHAT TIME & HOW LONG?

We begin at 10a. Feel free to show up a little early if ya like (or a little late). Our gathering will last approximately 80 minutes.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

We have two separate kid environments where your young ones will also get to experience the love, grace, worship, and teachings of Jesus in an age appropriate atmosphere.

NURSERY: Birth - 3 Years Old
KIDS: Pre-School - 5th Grade

WHAT IF I'M NERVOUS?

That's completely ok! It might even be normal? Pastor Brad felt sick to his stomach the first time he went to church. What he came to learn is that it was likely a spiritual resistance to the goodness of God. Join us a week or two and the nerves will begin to fade away.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Easy - Wear what you're comfortable with! If you're a jeans and tee kinda person, wear that! If you like to dress up on Sundays, that's cool too! Some of us wear jeans and tees (like the pastor). Others of us dress up a little with a skirt, dress, or slacks and a button-down (usually without a tie).

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A
COMMUNITY DINNER

Expect to build friendships around a table with warm food and laughter while being encouraged in your soul by a retelling of a short story about Jesus and a moment of prayer together.

IS IT REALLY, FREE?

Yep. Free. Costs nothing. How? Good question! Our dinners are provided through the generosity of people giving to our cause and through our community partnerships. All of us who financially contribute desire to see our community come together and care for one another; creating spaces of goodness and light in our community.

WHO IS WELCOME?

Everyone is welcome! You might expect to meet people at various stages in their spiritual journey, from those highly skeptical of Jesus to those deeply committed to faith in Christ.

HOW'S THE FOOD?

It's great! Bone Boys is our primary community partner; most weeks they generously provide a main dish and sides. We also provide a type of salad, soda, and dessert.

WHAT TIME & HOW LONG?

We begin at 6:00p with our retelling of a Jesus story. We're eating by 6:15. If you're not interested in our Jesus story, join us after 6:15! Usually, people stick around for dinner and discussion and enjoy one another's company till 7 or 7:30p.

WHERE IS IT AT?

During the summer, we are outdoors! Join us at Robert Peter's Park! Otherwise, we'll be indoors in an upper room at 122 1/2 E Main St in Bellevue (in between Apex Energy and Betsy's Botique).

WHAT IF IT RAINS OR SNOWS?

Through the summers, we're outdoors! If it rains, we will move indoors for the evening. In the winter, if we have a snowstorm that reaches level two during our dinner hours, we will likely not gather for dinner that evening.

I'D LIKE TO COME! SHOULD I JUST SHOW UP?

Yes, just show up! If you’d like, you are more than welcome to send us a message and we will keep an eye out for you.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Clothes would be great! :) Easy - Wear what you're comfortable with! With jeans or shorts and a tee, you won't go wrong.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

Kids will be with you. We do our best to engage with kids and adults in our story from Jesus. Plus, when we're outside, there's a park! When we're inside, after dinner, we will open a space where kids may go and play. But for the most part, you don't separate your kids at your family picnics or reunions! Neither will we... So, think of it like that and you get the picture...

WHAT CAN I BRING?

You're not expected to bring anything, but you can bring a family member or a friend or two! But, that's probably not what you're asking... Because of the nature of spreading a public community meal, we typically cannot accept potluck style side dishes. The best way to "bring something" would be to contribute towards our dinner fund. Remember, our meals are free through the generosity of people desiring to create spaces of goodness and light in our community.

HOW CAN I HELP?

The best way to help is to show up early for set-up and/or to stay late and help clean-up! If you're interested in baking or cooking when Bone Boys is unable to provide the primary meal, please talk to Pastor Brad.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A
PRAYER GATHERING

Expect to join Pastor Brad and a small group of people for an hour of prayer including private and silent prayer, intercession for others, and corporate prayer moments.

WILL YOU PRAY FOR ME?

Of course! We won't spend our whole time in prayer for people present, but we will have an opportunity for anyone who has any prayer points they'd like us to join them in.

CAN I READ SCRIPTURE?

Absolutely! Prayer is about drawing closer to Jesus and hearing His voice through the Holy Spirit. One of the ways that happens is through listening to what the Spirit says through Scripture.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A
DISCIPLESHIP GROUP

Expect to engage with people through discussing your Scripture reading, praying with one another, and practicing sharing your story and God's story.

IS THIS A BIBLE STUDY?

We do value scripture and engage with it daily, but this is not a Bible study where we watch a video or read Scripture verse by verse aloud together. This is a development group where we encourage one another in our walk with Jesus. Thus, you will be reading/listening to Scripture throughout the week and bringing your reflections and observations to share and discuss in the group.

WHAT IS THE FOCUS?

Development of the gospel throughout all aspects of our lives! This groups provides opportunity to minister to one-another; to encourage, guide, challenge, sharpen, and support. We will discuss what God is speaking to us and how we are responding to Him as we commit together to live with missional intentionality to spread the Kingdom of God.
